Environmental sustainability of the schools passed by networking of good practices with regard to waste and energy, but also by simple gestures, such as using recycled paper or double-sided prints.
These are some of the issues addressed by the seminar "Purchases verdi nella scuola secondaria superiore  per una strategia eco sostenibile”, che si รจ svolto quest’oggi all’Istituto Agrario delle Cascine di Firenze, giunto alla sesta edizione. L’incontro, che ha visto i saluti dell’Assessore all’Ambiente della Provincia di Firenze, Renzo Crescioli, ha messo di fronte gli esperti del settore ai dirigenti scolastici ed i segretari amministrativi ( responsabili della gestione delle spese degli istituti ) delle scuole superiori del territorio fiorentino, oltre a rappresentanti di ARPAT e della Provincia di Firenze.
"With this meeting - said the Councillor Crescioli - helps in sharing among the various local schools, the best experiences and the good practices that can, in the near future be applied to all institutions in the province. With the promotion of green continue a path that, as a Province of Florence, we have now begun, with good results, for several years . Buying green means reducing the environmental impacts of their activities and become agents of change their patterns of consumption, saving natural resources and reducing pollutant emissions and waste. "
Illustrate the guidelines for green policies, but also good practice immediately applicable in schools. Like, for example, the use of recycled paper and printing double-sided: two very simple moves. Today's meeting has also deepened the need to address also the various fees for schools to environmental sustainability: tools stationery, printers to the restaurant.
This workshop has also resulted in a sharing network for the exchange of information, which will be available through the registration common to a mailing list, where they are reported, for example, seminars or other similar new "best practices" reported and promoted by individual schools. In this direction is also part of the opening page dedicated to green procurement portal of the Province of Florence, located at http://www.provincia.fi.it/ambiente/acquisti-verdi/ .
